Educating for the 21st Century & Beyond!
We believe that early and consistent exposure to the STEM and robotics fields will better equip youth and teens for the competitive workforce. There are over 4 million STEM and IT jobs in the U.S. and not enough qualified people to fill these jobs. The U.S is demanding that we develop and prepare a competitive workforce for these lucrative fields.
Through our Support Services, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the communities we serve. Youth also learn robotics and engineering via NC FIRST competitions. CAD & 3-D printing and coding is also implemented.
This is one of our key areas of focus here at the Nehemiah Community Empowerment Center.
PHENOMENAL WOMEN IN S.T.E.M.
YES we can !
Our mandate is to expose women in under-served communities access to I.T. training. This includes hands-on internships with area businesses to gain work experience.
We are working to eliminate barriers such as child care and transportation that hinder women from pursuing a career.

APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Tackling the Issue - Many young adults ages 16-24 lack the skills and work experience needed to become gainfully employed. Participants can enroll in one of the following 12-month apprenticeship training modules:
- PC Tech
- Lawncare Tech
- Building Maintenance Tech
We are partnering with local businesses and corporations to provide the much-needed on-the-job experience required. Financial literacy is also included to ensure participants have a firm foundation of handling and budgeting their finances. Through this initiative, we are creating jobs and developing productive citizens in society.
